It gives me immense pleasure to introduce our next pair of lovely entrepreneurs at The Indian Bazaar, Binoli and Nilay Shah from Mukhwas – the house of mouth fresheners and snacks!

Binoli and Nilay started their business with handful of mouth fresheners just more than a year ago and now have a range of products added to their collection and are growing by the day. It is an amazing success story in the making that proves that when you see a gap in the market, you gotta seize the opportunity and deliver to your promise.

Mukhwas mouth fresheners are tastefully addictive and I always make sure to grab a few extras to try all the flavours. Their new quick and easy snack mixes are growing in popularity by the day and I can’t wait to see what they will bring next.

I spoke to Binoli and Nilay about Mukhwas and this is what they had to say.

Tell us about your entrepreneurial journey and how did you come about it.

India is a place which has varieties of delicious food to offer. We used to get heaps of stuff from India as we were missing the real taste. That’s when we had this idea in our minds; why not bring the same taste here for everyone. The whole concept of our project “Mukhwas – the house of mouthfreshners and snacks” is to bring the real taste of India and rare food products, here in Australia.

Our journey with Mukhwas started last year and we have people all over Australia who love our products and come back to us each time. We feel blessed when people love this idea and appreciate our products, this encourages us to bring new products each time and still live up with the quality. We are based in Melbourne, in no time, we have a branch in Adelaide and ship all over Australia.

The great thing of each of our product is, we get them through air. Hence our products are really fresh in taste. We make them fresh from local vendors in India and import them straight away.

What’s the best part of running your own business?

The best part about our business is that we get to meet different people of the community, know them, their demands, and serve them accordingly. We personally go to deliver the orders, we follow-up to hear their feedback and take it into consideration. It gives immense satisfaction to know that people love our products and that boosts our spirits. Like anyone would ever think, being our own boss is another advantage of having your own business.

What advice can you give to someone who’d like to start their own business and how can you help them.

For anyone who wishes to start a small business, if they think how can their business make a difference in the community, how can their business be helpful to the community, it is a sure success. For any business, customer service is of utmost importance. We are here to give any kind of support, as we know when we started, it wouldn’t have been possible without the immense support we received from fellow small business owners.
